About Kate
Kate Kelly is a dynamic freelance graphic and web designer celebrated for her high-energy, creative approach to delivering professional services. With over 17 years of self-taught experience crafting graphics for clients through her virtual assistant business, she has honed her skills in visual storytelling and branding.
Driven by her passion for design, Kate pursued formal education to deepen her expertise and graduated in May 2025 with an Associate of Applied Science in Advertising and Graphic Design from Wake Technical Community College. This program has equipped her with advanced training in industry-standard tools, design principles, and portfolio development, further enhancing her ability to create compelling, client-focused solutions.
Her unique blend of hands-on experience and academic rigor positions her as a versatile designer adept at merging creativity with strategic execution.
In her free time, Kate can be found exploring nature through hiking, losing herself in a good book, listening to a “relaxing” true crime podcast, or creating cozy crafts with her knitting needles.
Fun Fact! Kate has a mini zoo at home with two Great Pyrenees, two cats, a Bearded Dragon, and a Giant African Bullfrog.
